User Pain Points

To better understand where users struggle, we analyzed feedback and identified key recurring issues. The following themes emerged as the main pain points:

Hard-to-Use Editor

I’ve used a few landing page builders before, but the editor in LanderLab was surprisingly difficult to navigate. The interface feels cluttered, and there’s no clear visual hierarchy to guide you through the process. I often found myself clicking randomly just to figure out how to change something as basic as padding or text alignment. It’s not that the features aren’t there - it’s just that they’re not easy to find or understand without prior experience or documentation.

A/B Testing is Hard to Find

I picked LanderLab for its A/B testing, but finding it wasn’t easy. It’s buried in the settings and there’s no clear guidance - it should be way more visible for such a key feature.

Not Easy to Use

The platform has potential, but it’s not beginner-friendly. There’s no onboarding or hints, and even simple actions like editing layouts feel harder than they should be.

UI System Enhancements

This collection highlights a set of interface components designed to refine the editor experience as a whole. Rather than isolating each improvement, it demonstrates how modals, drawers, panels, and inline editors work together to simplify complex interactions and create a more cohesive workflow. These adaptive elements address various usability and accessibility needs across the editor, improving clarity and consistency.

Since showcasing each issue would make the case study too long, these elements are grouped as a collective showcase of improvements that enhanced both the UI and sidebar experience.

AI Implementation

Text Generation

AI plays an important role in improving the editor, and we began its integration with text generation. Many users struggled to finish pages due to writing delays, so we introduced contextual AI tools that generate or refine copy directly inside the editor. This made content creation faster, smoother, and more consistent across landing pages.

Image Generation

AI was also applied to visuals with image generation. Users can now create custom images by describing them directly in the editor, keeping creativity flowing without switching tools.

AI Copilot

The AI Copilot takes creation in LanderLab to the next level. Instead of focusing on one element at a time, it understands context and builds complete landing page sections based on user prompts. By combining layout, structure, and copy suggestions, the Copilot helps users move from idea to implementation in seconds.

This system bridges the gap between creativity and efficiency. Users can describe what they need - like a pricing section, testimonial layout, or product feature block - and Copilot instantly generates a tailored version ready to customize. It reduces setup time, eliminates repetitive steps, and keeps the focus on creative decisions rather than manual adjustments.

More than a design assistant, the AI Copilot acts as a collaborative partner inside the editor, helping teams maintain momentum and consistency while building high-quality landing pages faster than ever before.

Gamifying Experience

In LanderLab, the idea of gamification was explored as a way to make the overall experience feel more interactive and enjoyable. The focus was on creating a smoother sense of progress and engagement while keeping the interface simple and intuitive.
